The Samaritan Fund is Sacred Hearts Children’s Foundation’s first endowment effort.It is our priority to be able to offer our patients assistance from this perpetual fund. This endowment shall be used to address the diverse needs of low-income families or those temporarily challenged by the costs associated with having a seriously ill child. The intent is to allow Children’s Hospital to provide direct assistance to children and families receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital. Specific criteria for eligibility for assistance shall be recommended annually by a committee of children’s hospital social workers and nurse managers. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to launch this endowment.
